Getting a Library card..................

Library cards: The Library serves residents of the city of Caldwell.  Others may purchase library services with an annual fee.  The fee is $47.00 (plus tax) per family or individual card and $29.00 (plus tax) for Senior Citizens (62 yrs) per family. The Library offers a six month card, family/individual $25.00 (plus tax) and Senior Citizens $15.00 (plus tax)

Your Library Card is for Your Use Only!  And you must be present when borrowing materials.  New patrons are limited to five items at a time for the first two months.  Everybody is limited to three books in a subject area.  Do not loan your card.  If your card is lost or stolen, notify the library immediately.  Lost cards may be replaced for $1.00

Due Dates are four weeks from the date borrowed for most material. New books are due in two weeks. Videos are due in two weeks. (for Caldwell Public Library materials)

Renewals are granted once, unless another patron has reserved the item.  Books may be renewed by phone.

Overdue book fines are 20 cents per day.  Video fines are 20 cents per day.  We use a collection agency for materials that are 30 days overdue.

Lost materials should be reported as soon as possible to stop additional late charges.  Replacement cost and a $5.00 processing fee will be charged for lost materials. Â

Most items circulate for 4 weeks.  The Library has reciprocal borrowing with Ada Community Library, Boise Public Library, Eagle Public Library, Hailey Public Library, Garden City Public Library, Meridian Library District, Mountain Home Public, Nampa Public Library and Twin Falls Public Library.  Any items checked out in one of these libraries may be returned to any of the libraries.
